Wychwood

Tree-lined streets of family homes off St. Clair West. I live here, so I know these streets as a neighbour.

What it's like

A close-knit neighbourhood of family homes around St. Clair West and Christie, with a strong community feel. It takes its name from Wychwood Park, a private enclave of arts-and-crafts houses that began as an artists' colony in the late 1800s.

The homes

Mostly brick detached and semi-detached houses from the early 1900s on quiet residential streets, many renovated and extended over the years, with some low-rise condos along St. Clair.

Getting around

The St. Clair streetcar runs in its own lane along St. Clair Avenue, and St. Clair West station on Line 1 is a short walk east. It's an easy drive downtown or to the highway via Allen Road.

Parks, schools and shops

Wychwood Barns, a former streetcar repair yard turned community and arts centre, is the heart of the neighbourhood, with a park, a playground and a year-round Saturday farmers' market. St. Clair West has restaurants, cafés, bakeries and grocers within walking distance.

Working with me

Your Wychwood Realtor

I'm Rebecca Himelfarb, a Broker and Partner at Forest Hill Real Estate, and Wychwood is home. I live here with my family, and I've been helping Toronto buyers and sellers for more than 17 years. I closed over 50 deals in the past year. My clients have left me 94 five-star reviews.

Because I live here, I can tell you what a street is really like, not just what the listing says: which blocks are quietest, where the parking is easy, and how a house compares with the ones that sold nearby.
