Little Italy

Victorian houses on leafy side streets off College Street, with its cafés, restaurants and patios.

What it's like

Little Italy is centred on College Street west of Bathurst, where Italian families settled through the early and mid-1900s. Today College Street is known for its restaurants, cafés and patios, while the side streets stay quiet and residential.

The homes

Mostly Victorian and Edwardian semis and row houses, plus some larger detached homes on Palmerston Boulevard, known for its ornate street lamps and big trees. There are low-rise condos and apartments along College Street.

Getting around

The College streetcar runs through the heart of the neighbourhood, and the Bathurst streetcar crosses it. Line 2 stations at Bathurst, Christie and Ossington are a short walk north on Bloor Street.

Parks, schools and shops

Bickford Park and Christie Pits are nearby, and Kensington Market is a short walk east. Schools include Clinton Street Junior Public School and Harbord Collegiate.

Working with me

Your Little Italy Realtor

I'm Rebecca Himelfarb, a Broker and Partner at Forest Hill Real Estate, and I've been helping Toronto buyers and sellers for more than 17 years. I closed over 50 deals in the past year. My clients have left me 94 five-star reviews.

Many houses here have been divided into units or have a basement apartment, so I help buyers check that each unit is legal and what the existing tenancies mean before they commit, and help sellers present it clearly.
